There are certain specifications that a bird house must have to be approved by this society. A few other aspects should be considered when purchasing a bird house for bluebirds or any other species. The first of these is the size in relation to one's yard. A person owning several acres could easily have hundreds of bird homes, whereas the more realistic, common model of a bird lover would be happy with just one or a few houses. Also, for those less adroit with their hands (and conversely, those who like to work with their hands), the consideration of whether the house is pre-built or if it requires construction should be taken into account.
